As someone who really wants to pursue a career in theatre, let it be acting or just the production aspect, being able to experience high-quality performances and acting in London really solidified my dreams. We had so many workshops that challenged me in so many ways including, dancing, singing and acting. I really feel like I was able to see myself and my friends flourish in our skills and strengthen our relationships along the way. This was genuinely one of the most inspiring and rewarding way to spend my Summer holiday and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

The joy of being able to do what I love for two weeks straight and to spend that time with people who love theatre as much as I do was incredible. During these two weeks, we went from watching iconic musicals in the West End to spending time in Stratford-upon-Avon to experience all things Shakespeare. We workshopped his plays with the RSC, took backstage tours in famous West End theatres, and learned choreography from industry professionals who have worked on renowned West End shows. We toured four drama schools, where we participated in workshops and had a day as students at Bird College. These two weeks broadened my knowledge of the theatre industry and brought me closer to achieving my own dreams. If you are someone who really wants to pursue musical theatre as a career or just someone who wants to have fun and learn more about this industry, I would 100% recommend this programme.

The London Summer programme was a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I will never forget. As an individual looking to pursue musical theatre as a future career, working with industry professionals through musical-specific workshops allowed me an insight into the rehearsal process of a West End show, as well as the techniques they use to portray specific messages through choreography, singing and acting. Along with all this, we got to prepare a showcase at the end of the final week where we performed a song and got feedback from professionals to help with interpretation, execution, and confidence. If I had any doubts about pursuing theatre in the future, this trip allowed me to feel confident in my chosen career path.
