The Face New York Summer Programme was packed with various activities that really opened my eyes to the lives and practices of full-time Musical Theatre actors, makeup artists, and stage managers just to name a few. I truly loved participating in all the tours and workshops with new people that were just as passionate as I was, learning more about myself as a performer from industry professionals each day and how I could make progress and improve. The highlight of the programme for me was undoubtedly the week-long vocal intensive with Broadway Workshop, where I was challenged to push my boundaries and refine my skills, culminating with a final showcase in front of agents and casting directors– I was constantly pushed to explore different approaches to my material and learnt to perform my best. Overall, the programme was an unforgettable educational experience, shaping me as a performer and leaving lasting memories for years to come!
Geoffrey Lau - 15 years old
The New York summer program was one of the best experiences. During the two-week trip, we did so many different things, like dance, acting, and singing workshops. We also went to watch a few different Broadway shows. We also got to meet professional Broadway actors, makeup artists, stage managers, and more. Those workshops and meetings with professionals really help us develop and improve new techniques. I think that the Broadway workshop was the most fun since we got to meet new people from different places, and we also got to work with actors and singing teachers. Overall, it's an amazing opportunity to learn and experience what it is to be like a Broadway actor or actress and what it is to be in the Broadway business.
