The Importance of Being Earnest (10 - 21 years)

By Oscar Wilde in 1895, the play is about two bachelors, John 'Jack' Worthing and Algernon 'Algy' Moncrieff, who create alter egos named Ernest to escape their tiresome lives. They attempt to win the hearts of two women who, conveniently, claim to only love men called Ernest. A satire of Victorian social hypocrisy, the witty play is considered Wilde’s greatest dramatic achievement.
